The brewery uses water from the communal waterworks. But this water contains coli bacterias for now. So the households in this village have to heat/cook the water, if they want to use ist. The breweriess need so much water, that they can not cook it all (not brewing is the problem, because the wort is hot enough to destroy bacterias, but the water for cleaning the bottles and other works etc.).
The brewery has asked the communal waterworks to do their work and for a compensation.
The reason for the contamination with coli bacterias is not clear. Maybe slurry from the farmers, feces from animals of the farmers.
