Too much tourism

Re : Tourism levels , I have only found a few streets in Bamberg, Rothenburg/Tauber & Nuernberg to be noticeably overpopular, albeit my recent visits to Franken have either been in April or late Autumn, so the area seems relatively unspoilt to me. I do recall reading something a few years ago that Waischenfeld was ceasing opening late afternoon / early evening on Saturdays due to what I shall paraphrase as "Groups of Merry Drinkers".
