| Totally agree. Like many of the writers on this forum, I've been to Franken many times. It's quite a big place and the breweries are generally well spread out. If you want to really get to know, you'll have to spend a longer time there (like Jason who moved there) or make a lot of shorter trips. Don't try to do too much, concentrate on a couple of visits and soak uup the experience. Go to MMerkendorf itself, the ccombined bustrip is ok but really for the more experienced. Try a Sunday (watch the opening times), it's aan easy walk from Memmelsdorf or Drosendorf. Try a trip down to Forchheim but leave Roppelts for your trip. Get a good keller experience staying in Bamberg by visiting Spezial and Wilde Rose. Just enjoy yourself! |
