| Just in case anyone is curious as to why this has been brought in: it's part of the coalitions efforts to reduce the impact of the energy crisis on the German population. It isn't some kind of 'offer' because they want to be nice - it's partly to relieve costs for commuters and partly to encourage more public transport use. Though it could cause chaos as the service is not currently prepared for such a potential increase in usage. Obviously everyone can ' benefit' from this. |
