| Actually, Nick, the 'quite' was my interpretation of their response, so you'd have to put the British connotation on to it. The people concerned were all experienced Franken beer drinkers, the main one, from memory, being our highly esteemed founder, Mr Fred Waltman. All were very used to the real thing at the Stub'n in Bamberg and all said that was the best. But, as the chances of experiencing the real thing in situ were remote in the forseeable future, the canned stuff was a bearable substitute! But thanks for enlightening me on one difference between two more and more remotely connected languages! Take care. |
