| I've always had a great time at Annafest. As Jimbo said it's a lot less crowded during the week but that first weekend can really be a blast. We always get there early (by 11am) so we have time to enjoy it before the hordes show up in the evening. The main thing that I think you might not enjoy about it is the unavoidable uphill walking. The bus up to the kellerwald drops you off with a fairly long uphill walk and even longer if you go up to the top half, as we usually like to do to start the day off. We're going to go either that first Saturday or Sunday. I guess we'll decide over a few beers while we're in Bamberg. But if you're there the same time as us and would like to join us then you're most welcome to do so. You can always leave the event early before it gets really crowded. Typically it really starts to pick up after around 5-6pm. My guess is that you'd have a good time and a good laugh and then vow to never do it again. |
