Jason, this is great news.  I was wondering the same thing. I leave the US on 8-12 and will be in Berlin until Tuesday, 8-17 when I arrive in Bamberg.  Are the main breweries in the city still having last call at 21:30 and closing at 22:00? You say there are plenty of late night options.  I think you and your soccer pal took my wife and I to a place up on the first floor on Obere Sandstrasse a few years back.  I can't remember the name, but I did fid the place in 2019.
