| Everytime brew a Rauchbier the smoke klings on to the equipment for the next batch. So I wouldn't rule out the equipment theory to much. Repitching a yeast will always contain a tiny amount of beer. Whether it is enough to impact the final beer is the question. A combination might be enough. |
