| It is really sad. Here in Massachusetts pubs, brewery tap rooms, restaurants, etc. have been allowed to continue to operate (with restrictions of course) during this second wave. As opposed to the full lockdown in the first wave last spring. Just last week I sat outside at a local brewery 5 minutes from home. And the governor of Mass, who has been very realistic and reasonable during this whole thing, has decided to relax the restrictions a little bit starting in February (i.e. getting rid of the curfew for example) based on where he and his staff see the numbers headed I guess. Anyhow, it's frustrating to see from afar small breweries in Franconia having to close. I'm just waiting for a big gut punch to come with one that I really love and oft visit going down. I hope that doesn't happen. I just wish they would be recognized as the gems that they are and get some support to help stay afloat. |
