Schesslitz

I can remember visiting Schesslitz on a number of occasions in my early years of exploring the region. I seem to recall there were three breweries in Schesslits around that time the most interesting of which for me was Barth Senger. Not particularly for the beer which was a Dark Vollbier, sometimes good more often not, but for the room. It was a very small place with perhaps four tables, a tiny bar, one barrel and loads of atmosphere. A real local's bar. The late Tom Perrera used to refer to it as his Franconian living room. A very special place which closed I think in 2012 and like Tom, will be for ever sadly missed.
