Do you know that for sure, Jason?  I wondered whether they might be the landowner.  OTOH, it's a pretty local place that mainly seems to attract a local custom (from the people that I've met there) - maybe there is just a strong demand for Kraus (as suggested by the number of people who ask the question)?  You have commented on a number of occasions about the localised, parochial nature of German beer drinkers.
