| When I talked to Ferienwhnung owners about the internet in the past, they told me that the overwhelming majority of their trade was domestic German and that enquiries/arrangements were usually made by phone. Of course, I tend to have stayed mostly in rural areas in the past few years, which probably wouldn't be high on the list of international travellers. Apart from Frank's place, I can't remember the last time that I stayed in Bamberg; probably nearly 10 years ago? I've only been back in the UK for 3.5 years and cashless payment was well under way when I returned. Much less so in Ireland then but not now! I quite like the archaic but, then, I don't live there and for a few months, it's quite cute! |
