| Has reopened and is somewhat back to its roots... no tablecloths, no food (byo) and no airs and graces. The new landlord specifically wanted it to be this way after the last landlord turned it into more of a restaurant with beer (then fell foul of the tax authorities, I presume). I must say that it was very pleasant, the winner being the beer, which is the Hebendanz Export. Nothing noteworthy, but it was well kept and that makes a big difference. Much better than it was by the Keller this summer. The downside I guess, is that there weren't many in. Without food these days you're going to struggle. Shame. But let's see how things progress. |
