| I think that you gave all the good reasons for not being sad about its cancellation. The first when a group of us from the forum went, it was really good - lovely pleasant relaxed atmosphere, no entry charge, normal beer prices, no loud music (from what I can remember - sadly I was a little inebriated). It actually seemed like a community event. But, last year, it went all commercial, security at the gate, largely uninteresting beer and lots of loud music. So I can sympathise with the residents. The contrast was the lovely strassenfest that I went to a couple of years ago with Frank. A few hundred metres down Nurnburgstr from Special, who provided excellent beer, mainly local people, kids, etc. Really nice community atmosphere. I would support that - sorry, I think that Canalisimo shot itself in the foot. Now sitting back in Granada waiting for angry response from Bamberg resident(s) & others. |
