| Schlenkerla also has cases in the supermarkets here, so they use both in that case. Clearly if you have strong enough boxes they will be ok, but if it's raining etc things can get tricky. It's a bit different though, Schlenkerla is a different beast to Mahr. "quite some money" does not equal 200.000€ per year though surely? That's obscene for a brewpub that sells most of its beer on the premises. And as I said, they should simply charge as deposit to what the case is worth. Like I mentioned with barrels, often you pay a deposit of a fraction of the cost of the actual barrel, if at all. What's the point of that? Its in the interest of all breweries, so they should raise the deposit. Next. |
