| Brauerei Doppel was from what, roughly 1961-1971? If a ten year life is enough for a "proper brewery?" Plus one might argue that was just a continuation of the previous Doppel breweries going back to the early 1800's, just in a new location. Maisel was 1894, I beleive. Before that Bamberger Exportbrauerei ("Hofbräu") was 1885. I've heard talk of a "Zweibeltreter Bier" brewpub -- must have been 1980's or 1990's but that was before my time. My guess is it probably wouldn't fit as a "proper brewery" |
