Gerhard Your comments clarify some but add more mystery. "Bocks have more than 16° Plato Doppelbocks have more than 18° Plato." Do you mean bock beeers are greater than 16° Plato but less than 18° Plato? Could you identify a few "bock" beers with greater than 16° Plato but not in dopplebock category? I don't think I've ever hd a real bock beer by your definition just variuos maibock, dopplebock, dunkelbock, and weizenbock beer.
