Steigerwald breweries

So I visited Brauerei bayer in Theinheim this evening on the way home from work (well it's a bit out but worth it). Their Landbier was as juergen said; clean, hoppy and very drinkable - excellent. But their dunkel doppelbock, served in lovely 33cl glasses is a world beater. The best dark beer i've had in Germany. Without question.  Thick, rich chocolate, coffee and vanilla, totally unlike any German lager I've ever had. They also have accomodation for anyone interested, prices from EUR28 per person, and there are buses from Bamberg in the afternoon/early evening but there is no way to get to the brewery by public transport and return the same day. Bus there, overnight, bus back (very) early morning, or lunchtime. The food looks great so although a bit of a faff it would be worth it.  I know what i'm buying a few litres of for Christmas...
