In Bamberg is the problem to get professional, educated cooks. Waiters and kitchen help are not so difficult to get, because Bamberg has many students. So it's easier for pubs/restaurants which work with convenience food. The second reason is that traditional restaurants and brewpub work with full-time staff who like to work 5 days in the week. So they need two free days in each week, if they cannot find temporaries (learned cooks) for one or both days). The region Bamberg has also full employment. 4.2% unemployment in the region Bamberg - Coburg. |
