NO TRAINS Fürth <> Bamberg 23 - 27 August Inclusive

But, I know what you mean. When we stayed in Ebensfeld last year, we had the ersatz bus. Actually, it worked out quite well in a way because it stopped very close to the apartment (mind you, the station is only 5 minutes walk) and went into Ebing centre, thus avoiding the walk from the station. Not that it's a long way but helpful if you intend to walk to Hoefen, etc.

That was quite efficient but the year before, we stayed in Buttenheim and it was awful - trains late, trains not coming, trains not stopping at Altendorf, it was mayhem. We ended up walking to Schlammersdorf - not a long way but there is no footpath between Altendorf and Eggolsheim.

Thanks goodness I won't have that problem in September.
