| Hey buddy, if it weren't for us Americans, you'd be speaking German today! Wait. Never mind. I agree with pretty much everything you've said here, except...why limit people to one or two beers? When I was at Heckel, there were locals (well, people speaking Frängisch, anyway) drinking more than one or two. I only had two, as I was driving, but that's a different story. And I'm no longer a tourist, obvs. I get that we don't want tourists getting sloshed and loud, but let's not prescribe an exact limit; is that what Herr Heckel would want? Also, I see plenty of German tourists documenting their quaint Franconian countryside tavern & beer experiences with their smartphones. Just yesterday, as I was out and about, in fact, about which I shall post seperately "soon". |
