Sauer (Gunzendorf - Buttenheim) Closed + Tiefernellern Gaststätte

Fairly trustworthy FRANCONIAN beer drinkers at the Keller the other day claimed the Hönig was excellent. I don't think I've had it in many years, since the last time I was at the very lovely Gaststätte in Tiefenellern. Which brings up another bit of news: The Hönig Gaststätte is now supposedly only open at weekends, not during the week. (Is this news?) There was also significant bemoaning of Meister in Unterzaunsbach remaining closed -- the tavern, not the brewery. The idea is, the kitchen would have to be ext(p)ensively refurbished in order for a new operator to take it on. But there was unanimous agreement that the place has such a following that it could easily continue to run a great trade...if someone would take it on.
