MobiCard - again

A question for Dr. Barry (VGN): Is the MobiCard valid for 24 hour periods starting from your first validation (the fair way) or do VGN apply calendar days? I'll arrive in Nuremberg on a Thursday afternoon in August and leave the following Thursday morning and plan to do some travelling during the week, based in Bamberg. I figured the 7 day MobiCard for the entire network would be good, at 88 €. But if they are mean and calculate calendar days that means I would need another 10+ ticket for the first or last Thursday. Or rather a 9-Uhr MobiCard for 31 days at 98 €. Am I right?
