| The group Fred is talking about are his group called the "Sticke Warriors" that venture over (mostly from California?) every year in the Fall and visit Dusseldorf (for Sticke Alt), Bamberg, and other places. It's not a group of forum members Fred is the only one on this forum from that group as far as I'm aware. As Barry mentioned though there have some attempts to have meetups of forum members with only limited success for the reasons he mentioned. I have gone on a a couple of bus tours in the past two years with a group of Nebraskans and a couple of other people from the forum. Those were a lot of fun and it would be cool if we could get enough of us in Franconia at the same time to do another one someday. |
