Rail Service Disruptions in April & August

I see in the paper that engineering works on "safety technology" will close the line down between Forchheim - Bamberg from 14 - 17 April.

Then the final work to put the new four-track stretch between Erlangen & Baiersdorf in service will require the entire stretch from Fürth - Bamberg to shut down from 23 - 28 August.

I shall note these on the calendar of Bamberg visits.

The usual disclaimers apply; presumably rail replacement bus service will function perfectly as usual, for them without bikes anyway.
