| The students in bamberg are essential. Without them the city would be a pretty but quiet retirement home for the wealthy. The students bring life and youth to the city, keeping the pubs full (er) and giving plenty of late opening options. The tourists are less appreciated if you are a resident but hey, we were all one once. It's just the hordes of cruisers that come off the river for day trips that clog up the streets that annoy me most. Still, they bring money and again add to the atmosphere in their own way. Still, Bamberg is lovely right now during the limited 'off season'. |
