| Couldn't have put it better, Jeff. Dr Johnson said 'When a man is tired of London, he's tired of life' and I used to think the same of Bamberg but, now, a couple of days is really enough. IMHO, there's only Schlenkerla, Spezial, Faessla and Graf worth a visit - ok, that's not bad for a small city but you can get more beer diversity by travelling on on the 903/930 bus (think that's the number from memory). The problem of getting to some of the out of the way places was one of the main reasons why I suggested Forum get togethers a couple of years ago, which has sort of worked. But what we need is a sort of 'Nebraskan's' type activity. Or get to know more friendly car owners! |
