Though better that than keg beer and lager.

Says the guy who spends weeks at a time drinking the stuff in Lagerland!

Seriously though, the existence of "craft beer" in the US is due in large part to CAMRA having been formed and "saved" cask beer. It was Fuller's ESB and Landlord(!) that inspired Sierra Nevada and Anchor Liberty(!), respectively. (I imagine Landlord of 1974 was a bit different to today's.)

Though, I've also heard that cask beer wasn't really in that much trouble in the early 70's, so maybe CAMRA just improved it. ESB and Landlord certainly ought to have survived, being big brands, right?

But what's this about packing? I knew that you'd found a home, but had lost track of you actually having bought it or setting about moving. I recall only that you were going to go ahead without waiting to conclude the sale of your own home. Congratulations, in any case, and yes, packing and moving...horrible. It was easy when I was young and could just load up a pick-up truck with my stuff.
