| There was a span of a few years where I just stopped trying Neder, because it was so consistently off. Then I met Barry & his Jacqueline there a couple of times in the last couple of years, and it was consistently good: clean and just a nice, simple lager. But last night, it was back to just nasty like it had been in the past. I suppose it could be problems with single barrels being infected...? Or it's the company I keep there, or don't. I was on my own last night there, awful beer. With B & J, fine. The four Engländer went off to a wine bar to try Franconian wine, whereas I went to Neder. (They'd been to Neder already earlier in the day.) The wine bar has Mahr's Pils on keg, which they raved about when I met up with them later at the Pils bar place. Still, Neder is the best tavern. |
