Ot: beers for children?

How so? If we have the English adjective "Franconian" to indicate something of Franconian origin, how then do we have "Franken" in English? The English adjective form "Franconian" translates to "fränkisch" (small 'f', umlaut mandatory), not "Franken/franken". Franken in German is the name of the region, or the plural form of the noun "Franconians" (males) as people.

People wanting to use these adjectives correctly should choose one or the other correct form, not make up something else that only serves to confuse learners of either  language.

IMO.
