Hallerndorfer Biertage Details & a Bit of Biergeschichte/History

I have visited this festival on sunday (lunch time).

The G#mstaööer FX Smoke Märzen was very good, maybe a little bit to cold. I have seen that the Gänstaller Kellerbier Mandarina was very cloudy with yeast, but I haven't tasted it because we have it for now in the Café Abseits.

The Witzgall Landbier was unfriltered but with few yeast, near to clear. I asked the young Witzgall brewer, who has visited the tent together with the old one. He says that the Landbier was storaged a long time and so the yeast has been deposited  in the storage tank. I lilke this beer more with more yeast (and also the bottles have more yeast if You buy bottles in the brewery.

I drank the lagerbeers of Roppelt and Lieberth, both too cold but good as always.

Why not bavarian tapped? You must know that this is a festival of the local communities not of the breweries. The breweries deliver only the beers. Thje volunteers were overwhelmed with tapping on gravity.

I have asked if they will repeat the same festival in the next year. I got the answer that it's too much work for the volunteers, so they will repeat maybe all three years.
