Sorry I'm late to this -- been traveling :) I should also note it's been a year since I' ve been to Dublin. Dungarven routinely does one of their beers in cask. Which ever one is on, you'll find it at multiple places around Dublin (Palace Bar and the Cobblestone Pub being two that come to mind, though the latter place the beer is often not in good shape). The Porterhouse on Parliment (Temple Bar) often has three cask beers -- two on hand pump and a gravity cask off to the left side of the bar. They've usually had their Hophead on cask, though my last visit there were two beers from Thornbridge. In addition to L. Mulligan Grocers, W.J. Kavanagh’s has a number of hand pumps (4 I think, but that could have changed). They do have lots of British Beers (Black Iris I remember because they used to be based in at the Flowerpot in Derby) but I've also seen beers from Metalmen, N17 and White Gypsy. Oh and also College Green (they are Northern Ireland) Once -- I think it was at the Palace Bar but I am not 100% sure -- I had the O'Hara Leann Folláin Stout on cask. That was one of the better beers I've had, ever. Only saw it that once but I've heard the Salt House in Galway (another Galway Bay Brewery Pub) has it fairly regularly. Speaking of Galway Bay Brewery, they do a number of their beers in cask as well -- the above mentioned Black Sheep usually has one and the Brew Dock sometimes but they past few visits their hand pump was dry. |
