| Well, that's something! The current owner is giving it up for age & health reasons, preferring a local brewing operation over offers from other, larger companies. Brewing & tavern operations to remain as-is, though investment will be made to make improvements. The place was first mentioned in writing in 1333, and became a "prince-bishop" Braunbierbrauerei in 1533. From then til 1790, there were 22 different owners in the form of different prince-bishops.
