Pils

Prima Pils is really great, surely caused by the use of the "original" Saazer Roter Mittelfrüh (Žatecký poloranní červenák). There is no need to use stylish hop-bombs in a Pilsner-style Lager IMHO. By the way, the best german Pilseners come, I think, mainly from Bavaria, not so dry and more aromatic, e.g, Schönramer, Nittenauer, Augustiner Pils, Rittmayer 58…
Funny enough, in Bohemia the term "Pils" is widely unknown. Beers known all over the world as "Pils" are called there simply "Ležák"("Lager"), only the original from the town of Pilsen (Plzeň) is called "Pilsner Urquell" (Plzeňský Prazdroj).
