Lovely finale

First corrections from the predictive text: Summer should have read Drummer and it was the Alt Helles that seemed a bit too sweet for me!
On to Sunday and a nice short walk from Eb-ing to Hoefen and Goldener Adler Brauerei. Not quite sure how to describe this beer but it seems nearer a Vollbier than anything else - not as malty as some and a little more bitter but pretty good anyway. I asked the waitress whether it was brewed there and she said a definite 'Yes!' note of caution for intending visitors: brauerei Enders (for that is its official name) and the Gastaette are closed from May 17 to June 8 - not a bad little Urlaub!
We walked back to Eb-bing and, of course, had to sample a couple of Dunkles at the lovely Schwann. OK, maybe it's not so malty as some other Dunkles but it's still a mighty fine drink - add the ambience and the friendly service make the Schwann one of my favourite places in Franken.
We rounded off the night and our visit to Ebensfeld with a quick Seidla in the Englehardt Keller before returning home to polish off a Weiherer Rauchbier, a present from our hosts - nice, quite delicately smoked.
Now off to Ulm and home for a little while.
