| The program of the Day of the beer in Bamberg is publised (22th to 24th April, Maxplatz): https://www.facebook.com/events/244878839185144/ I have copied. It's better to look the orginal post at Facebook (changes etc.): 3-day festival on the "Maxplatz" in Bamberg (the large central place in the pedestrian zone). 8 Bamberg breweries celebrate the 500 year anniversary of the Bavarian beer purity law, which was proclaimed on 23.04.1516. On Saturday (23.04.) at noon official function including awarding the "Bamberg Beer Medal" to Prof. Dr. Ludwig Narziss. By the way: Bamberg already had its purity law 27 years earlier, it was proclaimed on 12.10.1489 and is hence a precurser of the Bavarian purity law.
