New Brewpub in Erlangen

This got me thinking of Brauerei Weller in Erlangen (1811 - 1911), family descendants of which have been trying to open a Weller brewpub (they call it a Gaststätte with "show brewhouse" or something) here in a former shop in a listed/protected building for 3 years now. http://brauerei-weller.de/ explains how they've started a cooperative to raise 400k € to build the place. (The Kulmbacher coop brewhouse apparently raised 800k €.)

And now that they've finally achieved that (why it's taken so long in such a rich, well-off, international, BEER-DESTINATION-POOR city as Erlangen is a mystery), they expect to open in...2016 or 2017. We should gather the 15k € necessary to buy one of those Porter breweries and get one going in a few months here, just to show them up. There are a few small shops in the Zentrum standing empty. Who wants to join?
