New Microbrewery Erlkönig in Bamberg-Gaustadt

Well, the place I mentioned has been a nightclub-ish place since forever. I didn't mean to suggest it's new, only that AFAIK, it's only been "Arizona" for a few years. But there have always been a few "American" places around Erlangen, which, yes, had a huge US Army presence until 1994. (Our house stands on what was previously a gigantic concrete slab, upon which tanks were parked. I wonder if there isn't a forgotten Soviet nuclear missile somewhere targeted right for our house. I don't lose too much sleep over that though.)

Having a hard time imagining me going down the pub (note properly left out preposition) with Dad and Grandpa though. I wonder if my grandfather (1905 - 1989) ever set foot in a bar (no "pubs" in Waseca, Minnesota), even. He did enjoy a can of beer after mowing the lawn though.
