Travel from Frankfurt airport to Bamberg

I have done it. At one point, there were a couple of REs a day that went from Frankfurt Hbf to Bamberg, with no change of trains. There were three of us, all traveling with our folding bikes (packed into large suitcases) so the Bayern Ticket saved even more. It took a little longer but was worth it to avoid changing trains in Würzburg (where there are no elevators or escalators)

On the return trip it was a weekend so a Schones Wochenende ticket served the same purpose.
