"Like the sort of sensationalism that many beer bloggers/writers tend to come out with just to justify their perceived existence. And i dont like the idea that the smaller or more remote the brewery or the more idiosyncratic the opening hours makes it somehow more alluring. It's annoying, at best.
I don't like sensationalist beer blogs either. t's almost hilarious how well Seinsheimer fits the "desire for authenticity and rarity", bottles purchased in advance, only only Friday, self-trained, smallest brewery, etc., I get that. And that's why it was such a weird experience to enjoy the beer so much the first time. It was in incredible shape because it was was fully settled and pouring clear from the tank and the malt expression was one of the best beer experinces I've ever had.
On the second visit the beer was pouring hazy and the aroma and flavor were muddled. It was an "OK" experience, nothing more. What made the second visit so much fun was standing inside the humid closet-sized brewery while Frank and family boiled, cleaned, filled, and labeled together.
And what else? The bottles show poorly when opened after three days. They hand fill and sanitation is spotty.
I'm sorry you're not convinced. You should go there yourself and form your own impression, as should everyone.
