Faessla Lager

Must say that I've never had a bad beer at faessla. OK, maybe not as interesting as some of the other breweries but OK.  Totally agree about the Schwemm and its atmosphere. No way to avoid Schlenkerla (unique beer and setting but shame about the sightseers), likewise Spezi for its beautiful beer (but atmosphere more like a restaurant at times but often interesting), Mahrs for its wonderful U (but shame about the way that it is managed), Keesman, again very nice beer (but rather lacking in atmosphere), Klosterbrau - better to avoid (!), and Greifen (rapidly improving beer and lovely setting).
But Faessla, at its best, can combine both good beer and good atmosphere.
