Lots of discussions with people recently (all over 30, some very well over 30) about how people who like such experimental beers as very strong orange-vanilla-bourbon-chocolate-cake imperial Gose are people that like beer that doesn't taste of beer. When I was young, I certainly would have enjoyed experimenting around, trying such things out, but when beer is "challenging", it's not quaffable, is it? And that's what I like now: quaffability. Which is very much tied to lower alcohol content for me. I'm dismayed by the new Reinheitsgebot issues here. Someone told me or I read somewhere that it will certainly get challenged in a German federal court someday soon, and will have to be struck. So, yes, ammend it. AS IT WAS DONE IN THE PAST to allow various herbs and thing! |
