Rauchbiers?

Re Rauchbiers: yes, Merkendorf for Hummel and Raucherla, don't think that Wagner do a Rauchbier but everything else is fantastic and they do brew 2 Bocks at this time (light and dark) but don't think that they are filtered. Kraus in Hirschaid brew a Rauch: Hirschentrunk, a very nice beer.  The 'other' Wagner in Kemmern also have a fabulous range of beers, including a Rauch (Kuckuck - don't know how available it is - probably only in bottles) and a Weihnachtsbock (probably filtered). My least favourite Franken brewery, Drei Kronen in Memmelsdorf brew a Rauchbier, which is alleged to be unfiltered.  Hoenig in Tiefenellen brew (to quote their website: Posthörnla  „mit leichten Rauchgeschmack“
