I'm a bit of a Goethe fan, supreme genius of (modern) German literature! Wherever Goeth had lived, studied, worked, stayed the night etc there is usually an engraved metal plaque on the wall as if to make sure we must know this infomation.

I decided to do the "Gosebier tour" first instead of Weimar. That Gosebier trip took me to Goslar, Leipzig and ended in Dresden. There's a (fake?) painting of Goethe with a bottle of Gose in a Gosenschanke ("Ohne Bedenken") in Leipzig.

Weimar is still on my "list" but I seem to keep going south and south west.
