Hi Barry, great to see you're making the trip to one of the nicest kellers around. As Nick said bus 990 stops in Frensdorf, the next village to Reundorf, a pretty flat 3km walk away (bit like Drosendorf and Merkendorf I guess). There are no other beery options in the area on foot aside from a pub in Frensdorf that I've not been in, plus the return walk to the Keller would be a good 1.5 hours out of the 6. I hope the 3km walk wouldn't prevent a visit, it really is a beautiful setting with great beer, food and atmosphere. The food is served in the main building and the beer is served courtesy of Her Muller himself in the small buidling that denotes the original keller entrance where I understand the beer is still lagered. It's a lovely spicy lager served from the barrel, a personal favourite. Hope you can visit! |
