All about Wattendorf you must know ;) |

| Hello, don´t forget to visit Will in Schederndorf with a very very nice Dunkel in a great beergarden! You have this possibilities to go by bus: Monday-Friday: Bamberg station 11.17 bus to Scheßlitz Kilianskirche, arrival 11.37 From there 11.40 Rufbus 964 to Wattendorf, arrival round 12 o clock. Call the Rufbus one hour before departure: 0800 6065600 Or on www fahrtwunschzentrale de When you are in Wattendorf, you can visit Hübner (it opens 11.30, Mittwoch is closed). Dremel opens 16 o clock, so ask him if he gives you a beer although he has closed. Have a walk to Schederndorf, nice area, use a GPS navigation to find the small ways. (1 hour to walk). Schederndorf is open daily, but not Tuesday So have the tour Monday, Thursday or Friday. Take Rufbus 964 at 17.50 from Schederndorf to Scheßlitz Kilianskirche, change in the 969, arrival Bamberg 18.30. No Rufbus back from Wattendorf, only from Schederndorf. Tagesticket Plus Preisstufe 4. Other possibility which includes Dremel: Bamberg 9.30 to Scheßlitz, change to Rufbus to Schederndorf, brewery Will, walk or have the next Rufbus to Wattendorf, first go to Hübner, second to Dremel (opens Wednesday to Friday 16 o clock, so have the tour Thursday or Friday to have all 3 breweries). Or, without Schederndorf: Bamberg 12.45 (only when it´s no school day) or 13.58 to Wattendorf, change in Scheßlitz to Rufbus. After visiting Hübner and Dremel take the bus 968 at 17.28 from Wattendorf to Weismain, arrival 17.48. Very very nice bus ride crossing Kleinziegenfelder Tal! You can go to Obendorfer former brewery, now Lohnbräu Püls, in their beergarden at Weismain market place near the bus stop. Then take a bus of the private line of Götz (you find the timetables on the site of Landkreis Lichtenfels,) from Weismain market place to Maineck: 18.06-18.15 18.20-18.30 19.13-19.20 Have a short walk Maineck-Mainroth and take train back to Bamberg (departure Mainroth 19.09 or 20.16, change in Lichtenfels), duration 50 minutes or about 1 hour. A very great day trip! Tagesticket Plus Gesamtraum. The Götz bus you have to pay, it´s not in the VGN. Third possibility on Sunday: Take bus 969 11.55 Bamberg direction Hollfeld, no Rufbus for you! Get off at Hopfenmühle (it´s not in the timetable, but the bus will go there in 99%. It will go via Hopfenmühle when nobody wants to get of at Königsfeld, in 99% of cases). When Hopfenmühle isn´t possible, get off at Treunitz. Walk through the very nice paradise valey to Schederndorf (have a GPS navi), have some beers at Will. Walk to Wattendorf and visit both. Call a taxi from Staffelstein and go with the taxi to Staffelstein station. From here trains back to Bamberg, about 20 minutes ride. Tagesticket Plus Preisstufe 7. In Wattendorf both breweries are great. Have the Dunkles. The other sorts like Hell, Zwickl and Ähren (obergärig with Roggen, don´t like it) are not so good. Dunkel is brewed in Wattendorf for a very long time, the other beers are things of the last years. Maybe the Hell at Dremel is also quite good. At Hübner you must have luck that you get a fresh beer, then it´s a dream. Very good meals there. Very nice that you are interested in the small breweries of the Jura area, wish you a great trip!
