OT: @Barry - Fewo in Forchheim?

Fewo = Ferienwohnungen = furnished apartment.  These range from lavish purpose built apartments, often in complexes to simple rooms in the owner's house.  Prices range from as low as €20/night/2people to iver a €100/night/2 people.  They often provide great value and, particularly the more simple family-run affairs, are a great way to meet people. I wouldn't stay anywhere else having an antipathy to hotels as a result of spending too much of my professional life in various!
