| Well, while everybody is moaning on a high level about changes in serving techniques and quality changes in beer, another great Mittelfranken brewery has closed. Brauerei Schneider, Weißenburg, worked from 1772 until April 2015. It operated a really nice brewery pub "Zur Kanne" with fine food and a small brewery museum and was famous for its superb unfiltrated beers. It was closed because the owning family wants to concentrate on its second business which seems to be very successful: The brewpub at Leipzig, Bayerischer Bahnhof. http://www.bayerischer-bahnhof.de/de/startseite/index.html Has anybody visited Brauerei Schneider before? |
