Wages, prices & beer

What has been in the news for several years now is the problem of the academisation of the youth. That is, instead of choosing the dual system of vocational on-the-job training & education, more and more youth are going to university or college. This will result in long-term harm to the German economy, which is so dependent on highly-trained, non-universty-graduate workers in so many fields. Already, companies are complaining of a lack of youth trainees/apprentices. (And they are also complaining about the apprentices today being worse at basic skills of maths and writing.)
