Kavanagh's (2) an much improved over last year Butchers Bar (Bull & Castle) (2 -- I think) Brew Dock* (2) Black Sheep* (3?) Against the Grain* (2) The 107* (2) Alfie Byrns* (2 -- I think, was a little tipsy by then) * Are all Galway Bay pubs Dungarvan seems to be the brewer trying to support cask ale -- As Mark says, you'll find thier beers on Cask at the Palace Bar and lots of other places. Problem is, they all seem to have the seem beer at the same time (makes sense). Barry, you might head to the new Wetherspoon's Pub -- Three Tun Tavern -- in Blackrock, just a short walk from the DART station. 8 handpumps (though some duplicates) of British Ales, all for €2.50 pint (or €1.25 a half). Lots of Adnams. I had a stout from Bath Ales. Some US beers but I think they were kegged. At this point the Irish beer was all in bottles. They are opening one on Camden St soon, so closer to the city center. Plans are for a half dozen or more pubs in Dublin, 30 in total in the Republic. |
